Standard Florida Building Code Shutter or Florida Building Code Stamped Shutter panels are made of the same material and have the same thickness - the only difference is that Standard Florida Building Code Shutter panels don’t have the stamp.
Our Full Aluminum Hurricane Shutter Panels are engineered for reliable hurricane protection for windows and doors in residential and commercial applications. Built from durable, aerospace-grade aluminum, these panels combine high strength, low weight, and excellent corrosion resistance for long-term performance in harsh environments. They are designed to withstand hurricane-force winds up to 150 mph.
Each panel is custom-made and sold per square foot, allowing you to order the exact size needed for your project. With flexible horizontal or vertical mounting options, these panels are designed for both DIY-friendly installation and repeat seasonal use. One panel is 14" wide and must overlap the window opening by at least 3 inches on each side for proper coverage. Panels are designed to overlap by 2 inches when stacked, meaning you will lose 2 inches of usable width per stacked panel. This overlapping system ensures added strength and wind resistance but must be accounted for when measuring.
Each panel is manufactured for a precise fit and system compatibility, working with horizontal or vertical track mounting setups depending on your installation needs. They are built to integrate with H-Channel and F-Track systems for secure attachment, using wing nuts and bolt systems that allow for fast removal and reinstallation. Designed for repeated use, these panels provide a dependable, reusable storm protection solution that balances strength, convenience, and long-term value.
Vertical Mounting
Size: Each panel will be 14 inches wide with a 2-inch overlap.
Hardware: Header track and footer track are required.
This system mounts shutters directly to your home (wood, siding, or concrete). Panels attach to windows or doors using screws and wing nuts. The screws remain in place for easy reinstallation.
Multiple storm panels are installed over the top of the door or opening.
Horizontal Mounting
Size: Each panel will be 14 inches in height with a 2-inch overlap.
Hardware: Horizontal direct mount fasteners
This system mounts shutters directly to your home (wood, siding, or concrete). Panels attach to windows or doors using screws and wing nuts. The screws remain in place for easy reinstallation.
This hardware kit is designed for direct-mount, removable aluminum hurricane panels. The studs are embedded in the wall, with the machine screw portion protruding outward. When not in use, they are covered with paintable rubber caps to protect the screws from corrosion. The covers are removed prior to installing the aluminum panels, and large washer wing nuts are used to secure the panels to the wall.
